Scary: I'm scared of thing you can't see, specially when there's also creepy music. For example I found Blairs Witch project very boring because there was no music. Zombies and monsters are hilarious. Scary kids are scary too.

You make a good point with the music. The sound can often contribute to the terror more than any visual effects.
