I'm also a big fan of Thai noodle soup (and have been coming around to pho, too) and tom khar (with coconut milk), Russian cold summer soups (rassol'nik, which is made with beets and pickles, and green borscht, which is made with spinach), and many others.

On the video game question my "Other" is an Atari. *is old*

You had a daemon? ;)

I really like the generic hot and sour soup you can get at any Chinese restaurant. My favorite soup evar, though, is tom kha, Thai soup flavored with galanga root and lemongrass. Yum yum yum. I like tart stuff. :D

Soups - I don't know what Borscht and Gazpacho are so I couldn't select them, but I love soup so I bet I'd love them.

Driving - Seriously, I am the best driver ever, but only because I am constantly afraid while doing it. I follow every goddamn rule, never even went more than 5 above the speed limit. I must have complete silence when driving in terrible conditions, but I always prosper. I have managed to drive through a flash flood, a swerving ice-covered highway that claimed dozens of people's vehicles, several big cities during rush hour, narrow cliffsides with no railings, the blizzard of '96, and a crow attack. No accidents. Perfect Record.

Game Consoles - You forgot Game Gear!!! Who doesn't love a handheld system that eats 2 AA batteries every hour on the hour? Also, why no love for Virtua Boy? How can you go wrong with 3D red and black pixels?

Business Musicals - I have only seen A Chorus Line, Rent, and Phantom from this list. I dislike all of them for different reasons, but Rent I furiously hate with the vengeance of a thousand suns. I will see The Producers later on tonight though ^_^

Game Gear! That's the one I was trying to remember! That shizz was rad. And Virtual Boy! I spent hours in Best Buy trying to play that.

Oh, the memories...

I am constantly afraid while driving, too, but I don't think that necessarily makes me awesome. Also, sometimes people get in accidents on the road that are beyond their control, so I don't think that's the best way to judge. Or at least, my mom tells me it's not, whenever I tell her about how I didn't have any accidents in my less than one year of driving. :P

I did love Game Gear! Even if I only played two games, The Lion King game and Echo. I'm not familiar with Virtua Boy, though.

Wait, you didn't at least see the movie of Chicago? Because that's on the list up there, and I'd imagine you would at least like that more than those other three.

I did see the movie... but I assumed a lot was changed. I mean, there's like a 45 minute difference in time. I did like the movie overall, but I thought you were specifically asking about seeing the plays.

SEGA GENESIS FOR THE WINNNNNNNNNNN >:D

Also, I could possibly have checked Phantom, because although most of the show just makes me twitchy now, Andre and Firmin are pretty much ALL KINDS OF AWESOME.

So I suppose a retrospective pseudo-check, just for them.

Also probably my favorite questionable driving story was taking ye olde pick-up down one of the many 55-mph dirt roads, pass-racing un autre student, the both of us going, oh, 95, 100.

Like I said, sometimes I have problem with speeding. Though in not fairness but something, that's kind of how a lot of us-folk drive around there. And then there are people who manage to drive into the sides of barns so, you know, whatever.

And fuck it, man, drove from California to Michigan by my lonesome in three days, didn't have a single damn incident. I count that as decent.

Also Wyoming is awesome. MAN 75 SPEED LIMIT YES.

One of my favorite soups is Rice and Tofu, which the Thai restaurant near my apartment makes. It has a lot of ginger in it, its very tasty!

My two "other"s:

Wanton Soup!

AND I forget the name, but my half-brother owned this game system that sat on a tripod, and you shoved your face in there, and it was 3D! It was in colors of like black background and then red (or green) much like le olde computer consoles. But I completely forget its name right now. :(

About fifteen years ago I owned a hand-held Sega Game Gear, which made me 3x as awesome as anyone who owned a Nintendo Game Boy because Sega Game Gears had color and Game Boys were black and white.

WHAT'S THAT YOU SAY? GAME BOYS HAVE COLOR NOW? I AM NOT LISTENING TO YOU. FALALALLALALAA. Game gears forevaaah.

My favorite soup is chicken and dumpling or chicken with matzo balls. I love both.

How could anyone's favorite soup be ramen?

PS: City of Angels probably applies, because it's about a writer who's gone to Hollywood to see his novel turned into a film, and everything starts mimicking his novel. It's noir and fabulous and the set design is brilliant--the film half is all shown in black and white, including the costumes, furniture, props, makeup, everything.

Also, EXCELLENT songs by Cy Coleman. Check it out if you've not heard of it before!

I have the recording of City of Angels hanging out with my general theater CD collection, but I don't remember anything about it, oddly enough. I'll be sure to re-listen on your suggestion. :)

All of the soups you had on there were horrible other than French Onion. Whatever happened to Tomato Soup? Or Potato!!! Beef & Barley!!! Are Stews allowed? You have poor taste in soups. I'll have to do something to you for that.

PFFFT, these aren't soups I like - I looked at a list of common types of soups. I occasionally do try to avoid making questions so self-centered. :P

is Nintendo DS regular Nintendo? If so, I've played that too.

Nah, the DS is a new handheld game system. Old Nintendo would just be NES (or SNES, I suppose).
