For the supermarket line, I don't think it's appropriate to ask (even nicely) to go in front, unless you have a really good reason (buying medicine you need to use right away, running for a plane). Mostly what I mean by "Other" is that going ahead of others in line is acceptable when the people in front of you offer -- and they often do, just as I've offered to have others go ahead of me.

The time of work question kind of depends on what kind of work it is and the length of the commute. I've answered assuming my current type of job and being able to roll out of bed and go to work. If I were doing something more creative (and could work from home, and alone), I would definitely prefer working working the swing shift.

That's mostly what I meant by "No". :)

Paul Rudd is not attractive, in that I wouldn't unless his personality was fantastic and he won me over with that, but "not particularly" felt excessive, too. The lips are ugly, among other things. Only seen Clueless, and the rest sound like the kind of things not to touch with a barge pole.

If transportation (or saving of my TV progs) is an issue, then no to only stopping work at 2am. Otherwise that seems toward right for my ideal daily rhythm. If math-nerdiness includes fractals, count me in for that, otherwise no. Otherwise, still don't know where you get all these random questions and why you want them polled specifically. Any clues?

I just like to see where my flist stands on whatever vitally important issues are on my mind. :P It makes me happy.

For the work question, it depends on the type of work. I write best in batches between 1 and 9 PM, and that's my dream job. For necessary office nonsense, I like to start earlier and get it over with.

Paul Rudd is indeed charming. 40-Year-Old Virgin is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. It makes me laugh so hard I CANNOT BREATHE. But I hate Knocked Up, and I don't get why anyone thinks it's funny. Stupid annoying people bitching for two hours, yay. :/

I don't mind the new profile, but I dislike change as a rule. :P

Have no idea about the Livejournal question, didn't even know there was a profile to have laid out in the first place.

I saw all those Paul Rudd movies accept Fast Track and Reno 911, but I neglected to click 200 cigarettes because it was absolute garbage. Role Models is probably the best movie on the list overall.

You should have named this poll "Things related to what happened to me this weekend"

I'd work 8-4 as ideal hours. I don't mind the morning so much and it's nice to be done earlier.

I might be a bit off-put if someone asked to go in line ahead of me (it's a bit forward!), but it's unless I were really out of it, I'd offer them the spot ahead of me to begin with.

You totally forgot the roleplaying nerds. LARPers? d10, 20s, and beyond? Diceless? Represent.

Yes, apologies for leaving out the RPing nerds - I'm sure that would have been a relatively popular option had I left it in. :)

I do think it's "acceptable" for people with fewer items to go before others, and if I have a lot and someone only has 2-3 things, I'll always ask them if they wanna go ahead, but I'd never ask personally...just stare pointedly at the person.

Also, I used to work 8 hours like this: 5am - 1:30pm (including lunch). I loved it! The only drawback was that sometimes I'd miss shows on TV because I'd have to be asleep by 9pm or so. My work schedule pretty soon is gonna be like 8pm - 3am.

I put other for the appetite one b/c I don't my appetite is necessarily more than average, although sometimes I can eat and eat and not feel full (but not feel hungry either), but like I said..I can eat and eat.. Ok and now I know how Paul Rudd is after seeing a picture. It's funny, I've never linked him in my mind to all the movies I've seen him in.
