This topic depresses me, but it's on my mind. :/

Also, yes, my poll addiction is insane and unstoppable.

*EDIT* In the first question, "word" really means "world", naturally.

Explanation for your first question:
Both are critical. I think the male judgement is more subconscious-- they're attracted to certain bodies, but they don't really decipher why. Women, on the other hand, pick each other apart viciously. It's easier for them to be critical because they have something right in front of them (well, inside of them? I mean their own body) to compare it with.

Physical appearance helping me achieve things:
Well, I highly doubt I'd have dated as many people as I have if I hadn't been slender and pretty (until now).

Physical appearance holding me back:
Now, the fact that I've gained so much weight has killed my self-esteem, and I suppose it's more the lack of self-esteem that's holding me back. Also, when I was in dance (and still very slender), I was more muscular/shaped than the other twig-like girls, and the twigs are usually what's considered the ideal dancer's body, and that definitely held me back for getting roles and etc.

Wasting time thinking about it:
I used to absolutely obsess over my weight. Now, I still worry about it, and feel very self-conscious almost always, but I don't really notice it, if that makes sense. Anyway, any portion of my life I've spent worrying about this is significant since it's such a waste.
