Since only half my family is Jewish, I used to get easter baskets too x] And and when we celebrated passover, my grandfather would hide a piece of matzah around the house and whoever found it got 5 dollars. teehee.

There are pictures of three-year-old me dressed up in dress and bonnet for Easter. :D

For the goals thing, I picked "other," 'cause I set stuff that sounds difficult but I always know it's achievable if I work hard enough. I wouldn't set a goal that was totally out there, but I don't want to stick to really tame stuff, either. (I do err more on the tame side.)

I say that I hold grudges. My girlfriend says I'm a merciless savage. The jury is still out on this one.

As for ice cream headaches, I work at a place where we make ice cream. I make ice cream at home for fun. I think ice cream headaches are a state of being.

I'm of the "living well is the best revenge" school of thought. It's not that I'm a particularly forgiving person -- I do keep grudges and stuff -- but the hassle associated with taking revenge on someone isn't worth it for me. I don't get any pleasure from knowing that someone who has wronged me is suffering, and there are usually easier ways to ensure that I am not wronged by them again.

I clicked "other" because I am pedantic and my mind resists clicking the box! Although my family celebrates Passover, it's not something I'd phrase as celebrating 'instead of Easter' or whatever. The two have nothing to do with each other, at least from the Jewish point of view.

This comes out more during the Christmas season because it drives me *nuts* when people lump Chanukah in with it, in the expectation that if they're celebrating then everyone should, as though communal observance of the force-fed holiday is good for everyone, even those who have no desire to observe it. Jews don't need pity holidays fluffed up because they happen to fall around the same time as Christian holidays. Their actual holidays are pretty awesome taken in by themselves.

Oh, I'm just a ray of sunshine. :D

I'm an atheist who grew up in Brooklyn. I have 'celebrated' (i.e., went to a celebration and ate the food) plenty of Jewish holidays with some friends (and one ex-boyfriend). I am aware that they have nothing to do with Christian holidays. I admit that the phrasing wasn't the best there, but nothing of that sort was actually meant by it. I appreciate all holidays that involve deliciousness, of any kind. ;)

Oh yeah, that was just my being moody and stubborn (shocking for a Lannister, I know). I didn't intend any aspersions on you personally. I probably could have worded my comment better too. :P
