Wow, uh, we really have nothing in common except for baking. We used to have 'House', of course, and hey, I used to have an awesome significant other! ... three years ago. ANYHOO. I guess we have Jasmine in common, too. :)

Baking is a completely legitimate interest to have in common! I would do it a lot more if I had money for ingredients. Though I am totally making a crazy banana-related pie at some point this weekend, funds be damned!

And yes, we do have her in common, though we also both have an appreciation of Jewish culture (you initially because of Jon Stewart [I think?] and me because of Fiddler on the Roof and Woody Allen). ;)

See, I'm not verbose because I have a lot of thoughts requiring lots of words to express, I just ramble about stupid things. But you didn't have that option. :P

Things in common: I used to have an awesome significant other. Also... I like tap dancing.

Mmmmmm banana pie. Now I'm totally inspired to bake!

I was sort of a wannabe-Jew pre-Stewart, I don't even really remember how it started. But he sure helped. ;) Weirdly enough, my recent impulse to start studying Hebrew occurred pretty much completely separately from my general love of Jewish culture. It probably sprang from it in some way, but it feels like it came pretty much out of the blue. I made a list of things I'd like to study consisting of all kinds of subjects and languages, and I eventually settled on Hebrew. :)

And I think you may be the only other person on my flist who was ever into tap dancing, so that one counts extra. ;)

Okay, so my library fines were so massive because I did this stupid thing where I lent my roommate my library card. She then lost the books and let the tab run up and up and up and up until it maxed out. Pair it with the cost of replacing the books... and there you have it.

I'd give up junk food and alcohol for a pain-free existence in a heartbeat. I really want to add a swear word, but I feel like there's got to be another way of expression how vehemently I mean that one.

I picked other for how we met, because even though we started off at fawkes_reunion, we didn't actually befriend each until an unrelated friending meme a year or two down the line (maybe the Fandom: Life one?)

I've been using "clearly" way too often.

But I love it, gorram it.

If I gave up drinking, I could still use other substances, right?
(You need to specify these things ;P )

I wasn't sure what to pick for the first question, because I'm good at expressing myself concisely, but I like to be verbose... I can go either way. XD

I looove to perform but I haven't done it in years. Just in case you were wondering where the hell that came from. :P The first non-fandom interest that comes to mind that we share is singing.

The junk food question is soooooooooooo cruuuuuuuuuel!

Yep! For these random situations, I'd say you can generally assume things aren't forbidden unless it explicitly says so.

Well. Generally. ;)

Yeah, so I'm more verbose because I ramble than because I have SERIOUS THOUGHTS, but that wasn't an option, so I'll just pretend to be more profound than I really am.

The junk food question was, indeed, cruel! Especially if junk food includes Coke. If I were, like, an orphan with no spouse, children, or friends, I would be seriously tempted by option A.

lol, we have much more in common than I thought :D (omg scandalous! :P)

Regarding the wording thing, it depends. When written I like to get to the point, I'm not the overly blablabla type (as can be seen on my LJ which does not have essays usually) BUT I can be wordy when talking, but not necessarily about one subject, but I get from one to the next and go on and talk about Neville and Trevor and Herbology to Environmental issues to heart trees to Asoiaf to the wolves to the stickers on my car to photos to TV to politics to House MD to music........... at some point when with my gf, she falls asleep or just disconnects because I can go on FOR HOURS! :P

Also I usually am more talkative with friends but it also depends a lot on my mood. Or on my job. When I worked as an entertainer or public relations in tourism I hardly talked in my free time because I was sort of saturated of people and talking in my working time.

And to prove my wordyness :P MORE elaboration: On astrology, actually I find it highly amusing to read on occasions, specially the years previews (ZOMG jupiter will give me MONEY in JUNE XDDD and Venus will grant me AWESOME SEX in SEPTEMBER and I will be SPECIALLY HAWT around May! :P Or those really obvious ones: take care of flus in november...yep, because november is so totally not a flu season *lol*) I think though that taking it dead serious is rather ridiculous, but can be amusing too. A collegue is totally serious with the astrology thing and knows the signs of everybody and says how we are and how we should get along and what partners we should have *lol*

(for lack of astrology icon, using an astronomy icon. BAD pun lol)

Yeah I think that was the one! That's also where I friended [livejournal.com profile] retroflex and [livejournal.com profile] sea0tter12, I think.

And wow. Did you get your roommate to pay for all of that? (I hope so...)

Awesome. If you, me, and [livejournal.com profile] guad only lived closer together, we could totally form the world's first ASOIAF a capella singing group. It's too damn bad, man. :P

Hey now, the option said "a lot of thoughts" - doesn't mean they all have to be serious. ;)

And yes to the soda addiction effect. Hell if Diet Coke is included as junk food, I'd be tempted by option A right now. Though I of course already decided that it's not. I think I can allow soda in general to not be included, on the basis of it not being *food* or alcohol. :)

Muahahaha, scandalous indeed! I won't tell anyone (else), don't worry. :P

And interesting. I think I'm more rambly around people I'm close too, as well - though I'd guess that most people are.

I'm not so keen on getting up in front of people, but I do enjoy seeing plays and musicals. I'm a sucker for Shakespeare, especially, and the only way to do Shakespeare is to see it on stage.

Also, I am a glutton. As long as that death is instant drop-dead, I would very happily eat and eat and eat. Chocolate, chips, chocolate chips, cookies, cakes, OM NOM NOM I'm so hungry now.

The short version of that story is that I was a really awful terrible roommate, not by any design, but it happened. We didn't speak for years after we both moved out; I begged and pled with the library so that in the end, all I had to pay was the cost of the books.

Additionally, I have a lot of thoughts that I'd like to express, but I'm a very reserved person and I don't talk often. To make up for it, I use a lot of hand gestures and often look like I'm waving down airplanes when enthusiastic.

Well I chose B, the long sober life. However I didn't agree to not smoke any weed :P I can do without alcohol just fine. It is sort of fun...some times. Often ends with headaches, barfing, or bad feelings, along with full bladders. D:
