In the video... you are... on planet Earth. But who really knows these days?

As for the lying thing... well, I don't think lying is okay or acceptable ever, but we all do it. I have major issues with people who lie to make other people feel better (cough Jarrett cough) and in my experience, honesty is preferable in all situations. Except maybe the research one. Ahh who knows. I am conflicted.

We actually don't even have a Borders or Barnes and Noble where I live (OMG shock!). We do, however, have McNally Robinson which is one of my favourite places to go to. It's big, but not too big, and classy. xD I also really like used bookstores crammed with books from floor to ceiling. It depends on my mood.

I'm a very big fan of the use of deception in psychology-related research, so I'm glad you might make an exception for that. :) But I see what you're saying.

Truly a gunshot wound on the Oregon Trail would be the coolest way to die. Because as you lay (or lie), bleeding in your covered wagon, you can spin the macho story of how you were hunting bison and squirrels; but not for food, just to see how fast all that meat would spoil. When you felt that the game had lost all the challenge, you threw your rifle to the beasts in order to give them a fair chance against your brazen chest and rusted dagger, oiled by the blood and fat of Injuns and Cowpokes who were stupid enough to think they could stiff you. And as you lay waste to the prairie, the beasts mercilessly fire upon you until the barrel is cracked and the chambers are empty. And since the last frontier stop had a discount on bullets, you know...you FEEL that you have been riddled with no less than 40 slugs.

And as your eyes grow dim, and the lantern seems so far away, and the oxen hooves--the ones that didn't drown--grow further and further away, you look over to the guy next to you and ask him...

"What's got you?"
"Dysentery"

Heh...sucks to be him.

Answers to my polls are only boring if the questions are boring. Which they never are, to me, because I was the one interested in knowing. So no skipping polls! Unless you have a moral issue or long hiatus from lj or some better excuse than "boring answers"!

Yeah, of course you'd get scurvy if you didn't have any fruits and vegetables. :)
