It's been ages since I've had the time to make a poll for fun. But I have time today! I miss just chilling out on livejournal. It's been feeling like a bit of a chore lately, but I think the feeling will pass. I have at least caught up to my flist now. Not watching valyrian_forged for the moment actually makes it seem a lot more manageable (though I'll obviously still check it on a regular basis, it's just better to look at separately, I think). ;) Anyway, POLL TIME!

I went on one cruise and hated it. Mostly because I got terribly motion sick and my most embarrassing moment ever happened during the cruise. But it's also... not as fun as it looks on TV commercials. Really the only thing to do is eat and stare at the water. And the rooms are v. tiny unless you get a fancy one.

Twitter is lame and needs to be stopped.

Aww, it seems like you went on a particularly bad cruise. :(

The one I went on was like...more fun than TV. There were musical shows every night, games every day, a casino, an arcade, exercise classes, a track, and we stopped for lots of cool shore excursions (snorkeling with stringrays, pirate museum, etc.)! There are apparently even cooler cruise ships out there, with rock-climbing walls, karaoke, skating rinks, and so on...I guess a lot of it depends on your specific ship? Or whether you find certain things fun. I found my cruise vacation to be an "11", but my brother isn't half as "yay outdoorsy adventures!" as I am, so he'd probably rate it as...something less than 3. ;)

Yes, it does. Celebrities are only making it worse! I'm glad I'm not alone on that one.

On ours there were shows but they were LAME and we didn't want to go to them. There wasn't a casino or arcade, there was exercise classes but they were extra and we didn't stop anywhere. So I guess you do have to make sure the ship you're on is good. This was also like a decade ago so they might be able to put cooler things onboard now and also I couldn't drink because I wasn't yet 21 so that might've helped.
